Anxious Like Jesus

Anxiety isn’t something we can just “switch off,” and Jesus’ words in the Sermon on the Mount—“Do not be anxious”—can sometimes feel more discouraging than helpful. In this message, Jamin explores the tension between Jesus’ command and the lived experience of anxiety. He shares a personal story of when anxiety nearly overwhelmed him, and how God’s presence gave him the strength to hand it over rather than be crushed by it. The message also reflects on how Jesus himself faced anxiety—especially in the Garden of Gethsemane—and how the course of history might have changed if he had let that fear take control. This sermon invites listeners into a deeper trust in the God who walks with us even in our most anxious moments.
