Doors Open @ 4:30

The front doors of the church open early for the community to gather, settle in and hang out with one another. Get to make some new friends and meet a neighbor you never knew you had. As you get to know us, you'll find that there are also many volunteer positions available for you to arrive early and help us with.

Dinner Starts @ 5:00

Help yourself to some delicious free food as the band plays background music and local artists create. A short devotional will be presented around 5:45, followed by table discussion. While you are welcome to leave at this point, we invite you to stay for dessert and our church service while your kids join our children's service.

Church Service @ 6:00

Following on the heels of the devotional and discussion time, one of our pastors will take us deeper into the Bible to train us in the lessons of Jesus. After this we'll be entering into a time of worship through music with our talented musicians. A prayer team will also be available to pray for healing and anything else you need.

Our pastors are longtime Jackson citizens.

It wasn't through a research project that we learned how quickly Jackson communities can change just by crossing or following Greenwood Ave—rather, we learned it by moving into the community and making Jackson our home—just as many of our congregants have done. With the homeless shelter in one direction, the poor another, the middle class another, and the mansions of Jackson still yet another, we have seen just how important 1208 can be in the center of this community. We want to bring everyone together to eat, grow, and develop a loving community without walls, just as we feel Jesus would have it.

Jamin is the lead pastor at 1208. He and his wife Jodi, along with their two kids Beckett and Jericho, moved into a house a few blocks from the church where they have lived for years. Outside of pastoring, Jamin enjoys writing books, creating music, playing games, and grilling and entertaining guests.

A ministry like this lives on your generosity.

We have been blessed by so many throughout the years as they've given generously and freely to keep the ministry at 1208 moving forward. Providing free meals every week is a step of faith for us and your tithes and donations help make all of it and more happen. Thank you for empowering us to do this Kingdom work.
